Madame Sherri's Castle
Madame Sherri's castle was built in 1931 as Antoinette Sherri's summer retreat in Chesterfield, New Hampshire but unfortunately on October 18th, 1962 the castle was burned down. The castle had fallen victim to neglect and vandals years prior to the fire. A few years after, Madame Sherri died 1965 at the age of 84 and is buried in Brattleboro, Vermont. These are what remains as of 2017.
The castle is part of Madame Sherri Forest in Chesterfield, NH and is available to public year round. It's a great trip to make if you can before it collapses. The area also has stunning views if you want to make an additional hike.
